Nicely Done Under Armour!

Under Armour (UA) got into the running community a year or so ago, but has really been reluctant to fully embrace what it is to be a run. Initially their shoes looked like rip offs of the struggling running company Rebook and their "running" clothes seem like a rehash of other brands fitness gear, a far cry from real running gear.

Since then UA has put more time into testing their shoes and progressing along. However until now they haven't really embraced what real runners want, with their lack of light weight trainers and zero racing flats/spikes. Through Flotrack's UA Run Origins Series and Flotrack user's feedback they have began to rethink their approach. Now they have teamed up the the Rogue Running Company to form the Rogue Elite, an elite prost collegiate distance project in Texas.

Have a peep at the video below and witness a sneak peak into some newer shoes and clothing specially geared for runners and tested by a small group of elites who will be donning this young brand into the competitive running market.

As of now the team consists of

  1. Darren Brown -Unv Texas (3:58.34 miler)
  2. Kyle Miller - Unv Texas (4:00.5 miler)
  3. Erik Stanley - Unv Texas (8:07 3k, 14:09 5k)
  4. Joe Thorne - Unv Texas (13:52 5k)
  5. Adam Perkins Unv Arkansas (3:38.54 1500m)
  6. Dacia Perkins Unv Arkansas (21:12 6k)
  7. Shauneen Garrahan Amherst College  (4:22 1500m, 10:03 3kSC, 16:11 5k)
  8. Allison Macsas - University of Tampa (16:50 5k)
