10 weeks = sick again, nope just allergies.

Monday (0 miles) OFF

Tuesday (15.5 miles) In the morning I went for a 4.5 mile shakeout and felt really good. Then in the evening I had a pretty interesting workout at CSUSM. The workout as this form On interval(rest_distance) in meters, where the rest was at marathon race pace, around 6:25 for me. The on pace was 5k date pace to be picked up to 5k goal pace. He is the set up warm up - 400(400)-800(800)-1200(800)-600. Then 10 min jog followed by 6x300m at goal 5k pace with 100m walk recovery. The workout was essentially a continuous 5k since we never stopped. Here is the results in the same format : 71s (101s) - 2:22 (3:10) - 3:41(3:11) - 1:47. So my on's were around 71-73s per 400m and offs were around 95s per 400m. My total time was 17:05 for the 5k (again this with no breaks). Then mile jog and into the 300s which we averaged 52 with the last on in 49 high.  Also cool to note, I had a total of 3k on portions and ran them in 9:01 or 9:36 for 2 miles or 4:48 mile pace. My offs were in 8:04 for 2k which is 6:28 pace, or just 3s over my marathon pace.

Wednesday (10 miles) Did some running on the treadmill then and with a cool down and warm up workout out to 10.

Thursday (11 miles) Woke up in the very early AM to go do this workout. Also woke up feeling sick again. My throat hurts and my voice sounds like I smoked 1x10^67 cigarettes in 5 minutes. None the less I still made the trip and did the workout, poorly but I got it done. 1.5 WU followed by strides. Next was 1 mile @ 5k race pace, but since I worked hard on Tuesday this was @ tempo pace (5:18). Then 2 lap jog followed by 4 mile up-tempo (538-544-549-542) in 22:55, which is 5:44 average. Then 2 lap jog and 8x100m w/100m rest, followed by the 1.5 mile recovery back to the cars. I was not happy with how I felt today. My paces were fine (less the 549) I just felt I was working too hard to get them. I think its a combo of lack of sleep and illness. I will take tomorrow easy to I can go long on Saturday.

Friday (4.5 miles) A rest day indeed.

Saturday (15 miles) Headed out to CSUSM to run with the Team BSK group. Headed out on a 4 mile warm up then did a series of 2.3 mile loops at steady stated and headed back. We added on a little bit at the track. All in all a good run.

Sunday (4 miles) Just took it really easy. Week...done.

Total 60 miles.
